Certified ??? out of 5 Moneybags

Philadelphia's own, Breadman MGV ain't just a rapper; is a community champion, a music mogul, and a straight-up lyrical wizard. While his commitment to uplifting his community is commendable... it's his undeniable talent that's got the streets buzzin'.

Remember when Breadman MGV dropped "Organized Badguys" with his crew P.N.B.? Yeah, that was a game-changer. The album was packed with hits that had everyone bumping their heads and singing along. But that was just the beginning.

Teaming up with Grammy-winning cousin Billy Paul and collaborating with Philly's finest, Breadman MGV has been consistently dropping fire tracks that have cemented his status as one of the city's most respected artists.

Now, he's running the show as the founder and CEO of moodGroov LLC, alongside his business partner, Chris Perez. His latest single, "Steal The Show," is a testament to his talent and vision. Produced by the legendary Melodiclee and featuring the soulful vocals of Iesha Patterson, this track is a certified banger that's been on repeat in my playlist.

I've spun this track about 10 times now, and that's saying something. The subtle intro pulls you in, setting the stage for a vibe that seamlessly blends old-school grit with new-school flair. Melodiclee?s production is on point, but it?s Breadman MGV?s signature bossed-up flow and motivational street lyrics that really drive the track.

Then there's Iesha Patterson?her vocals are straight golden age. Her soulful delivery doesn't just complement the track; it elevates it, turning what could have been a straight-up street anthem into something much bigger?a masterwork of art.

But don't just take my word for it. Listen and let us at New Money Trap know what you think! In the meantime and between times, let's step into the New Money office and have a personal conversation with Breadman MGV himself...

Interview with Breadman MGV:

Q. You?ve always been deeply involved in your community, especially with at-risk youth. How does your work in the community influence your music?

A. Growing up in Philly, I saw firsthand the struggles that many young people face. It's been a huge part of my life to give back and try to make a difference. My experiences in the community definitely shape my music. I want to create songs that inspire and uplift, that show people that there's always a way out. I try to use my platform to spread positivity and hope.

Q. Your group P.N.B. made a huge impact with ?Organized Badguys.? How did that experience shape your approach to making music today?

A. Being part of P.N.B. and working on 'Organized Badguys' was a huge experience. It taught me a lot about teamwork, collaboration, and the importance of staying true to yourself. That experience definitely shaped my approach to making music today. I learned the value of creating authentic content and connecting with your audience on a deeper level. I wanna thank all of those guys, cuz they all helped me on my journey. The experience also gave me the confidence to pursue my own solo career and share my unique vision with the world.

Q. You?ve collaborated with some major names in the industry, including your Grammy-winning cousin Billy Paul. What?s the biggest lesson you?ve learned from these high-profile collaborations?

A. Collaborating with Billy Paul and other big names in the game has been a real blessing. I've learned that even when you're on top of the world, you gotta stay humble and keep grinding. It's about more than just talent; it's about building connections and knowing the right people. You gotta hustle, network, and keep your ears to the streets.

Q. Running your own label, moodGroov LLC, is a big responsibility. How do you balance the business side of things with your creative process?

A. Running moodGroov LLC is a full-time job, but it's also a passion. I gotta juggle the business side of things, like contracts, marketing, and finances, while still finding time to create music. It's a challenge, but I've learned to manage my time and prioritize what's important. I try to set aside specific times for business and creative work, and I also delegate tasks when I can. At the end of the day, my music is my priority, so I make sure to carve out time for that no matter what.

Q. What was it like teaming up with producer Melodiclee and Iesha Patterson for ?Steal The Show?? How did that collaboration come about?

A. Teaming up with Melodiclee and Iesha Patterson for 'Steal The Show' was a dope experience. Melodiclee brought the heat with that infectious beat, and Iesha's vocals added a whole new dimension to the track. The collaboration came about naturally; we all vibed on the same energy and had a shared vision for the song. It was a perfect match.

Q. ?Steal The Show? has a mix of old-school and new-school vibes. What inspired this blend, and how do you see it resonating with today?s hip-hop audience?

A. I wanted 'Steal The Show' to have a timeless feel, something that would resonate with both old-school and new-school hip-hop fans. I drew inspiration from the classic sounds of the 90s, but I also wanted to give it a modern twist. The blend of old-school and new-school vibes is what makes the song unique and catchy. I think it'll appeal to a wide range of listeners who appreciate both classic hip-hop and fresh, contemporary sounds.

Q. Iesha Patterson?s vocals really stand out on this track. What made you choose her for this project, and how do you think she added to the final product?

A. Iesha's vocals are straight-fire! She's got that classic soul vibe, but she can also bring the modern energy. I knew she'd be perfect for 'Steal The Show' because she could add a whole new dimension to the track. Her voice is like a fine wine; it gets better with age. She brought that soulfulness and authenticity that really elevated the song.

Q. Looking back at your journey in the music industry, what?s been your biggest challenge, and how did you overcome it?

A. Man, I've faced a lot of challenges in this game. One of the biggest ones was staying true to myself and my vision. There's a lot of pressure to conform and chase trends, but I've learned that the most successful artists are the ones who stay authentic. I overcame that challenge by surrounding myself with people who believed in me and supported my vision. I also focused on honing my craft and developing my unique sound. Remember, staying true to yourself is the key to longevity in this industry.

Q. What advice would you give to the next generation of artists coming up in the game?

A. To the next generation of artists coming up, I'd say this:think like a CEO from the jump. Learn how to leverage your network, build relationships, and understand the business side of the music industry. Don't just focus on creating music; focus on building your brand and your career. Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Take your time, build your fanbase, and enjoy the journey.

Q. Finally, ?Steal The Show? is already making waves. What?s next for Breadman MGV? Any upcoming projects or collaborations we should be on the lookout for?

A. Yeah, 'Steal The Show' is just the beginning! I've got a whole bunch of new music in the works. We have a few projects coming up too, including the moodGroov website and some new releases like 'Bagg' and 'Flossin' ft. Earl Lassiter. I'm also excited to announce to all the Philly artists and producers and abroad that we are on the hunt for fresh new artists like "Belle Star" to add to the moodGroov Music roster. Stay tuned, because there's a lot more to come!
